PRODUCTION PROCESS
Imapres compact high-pressure laminate (HPL) or solid core is composed of multiple layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin and a decorative layer impregnated with melamine resin.
These layers are compressed under extreme pressure and high temperature in a multi-daylight press, during which the poly condensation process of the resins takes place in accordance with E.N 438-1 and 438-2. The image is pressed in as an underlying layer during the production of the panel (= print in). Thus, no print with laminate or other carrier is glued or printed on top of the panel (= print on).
The specific melamine top layer provides UV-resistance of 98%.
Due to the density of the surface, paints cannot penetrate into underlying layers, making graffiti, for example, easy to remove with acetone or other solvents. The panels are vandal-resistant due to their high rigidity. 10-year warranty against UV discoloration.
